DOGSO - Denial Of Goal
Scoring Opportunity
The basic principles of the game
-
The field:
-
The dimensions of the field: at least 16 m to 35 m in width and at least 25 m to 50 m in length. (Full details - LOTG)
-
The goal area: a semicircle with a diameter of 6 meters from the center of the goal. In a facility where another area is marked, it can be used, or the semicircle can be marked with plastic domes.
-
Synthetic grass surface only.
-
The goal: 3 to 5 meters wide, up to 2 meters high.
-
The ball: number 5, as in regular football
-
Players:
-
The number of players is 5-7 players on each side, including a goalkeeper, depending on the dimensions of the field. Substitutions without limit, while the game is in progress, only in coordination with the referee.
-
Athletic clothing, shoes without spikes or stopex (preferably spikes suitable for synthetic surfaces)
-
Jewelry, watches, necklaces - prohibited
-
Players within the age range allowed for the competition are allowed to participate
-
There is no gender limit, you can play as a mixed team
-
Game time is subject to change, according to the tournament or league regulations
-
Walking rule:
-
It is forbidden to run - not with the ball, not without the ball, and not even to create an advantage on the field when the ball is "dead". Do not move by skipping, jumping, running backwards. Walking only!
-
While moving - one foot must be on the ground.
-
"No walking" offenses are counted per team
-
Physical contact rule:
-
Minimum physical contact with an opposing player, no kicking, pushing, tripping or anything that the referee believes is excessive contact - will be punished with a free kick (not direct).
-
Do not attempt to trip or tackle from behind, or from the side, or in a way that the referee sees as a move that endangers the opponent.
-
Do not perform a glitch anywhere on the field, even to stop or kick a ball. Touching the surface with a knee or any part other than the foot is a foul. A player who is on the ground and plays the ball is responsible for the foul.
-
If a player falls to the ground, play must be stopped; play must not be played if a player is on the ground.
-
The law of the height of the ball in play:
-
A high ball is a ball that goes over the height of the crossbar anywhere on the field. The ball passes to the opposing team of the player who last touched the ball before it rose to the height. The game will be restarted from the place of the last touch. If the ball went over the goal post, the ball will pass to the opposing team from the place of the kick.
-
A ball that is kicked during a goalkeeper's save and it rises above the height of the crossbar, the ball will be considered "dead" (like an out-of-bounds ball) and it does not matter where the ball ends up after it is considered out of play. The ball will be passed to the opposing team for a throw-in opposite the point where the goalkeeper kicked the ball.
-
If the goalkeeper kicks the ball high above his head, a free kick will be awarded to the other team, 3 meters from the goalkeeper's area
-
The ball must not be hit - this is considered a hand touch. A ball that unintentionally hits the head is not considered a hit.
-
Goal area and goalkeeper rules
-
The area line is part of the area
-
An attacking player is not allowed to touch the ball that is in the area, the ball will go to the opposing team.
-
If a defender enters his goal area intentionally, it is a free ball (penalty) for the attack (except because of momentum).
-
If an attacker enters the area - the ball goes to the other team (except because of momentum).
-
If a goalkeeper leaves his area intentionally, it is a free ball (penalty) for the attack (except because of momentum).
-
A goalkeeper shall not hold the ball in the penalty area for more than 6 seconds.
-
The goalkeeper must take the ball out of the penalty area with his foot or by passing the ball below the waist.
-
A ball that has been passed (not deflected) from him may not be returned to the goalkeeper, but through a third player.
-
A ball that the goalkeeper deflects to the side of the goal, or that hits a defender and goes out to the side of the goal will be considered a corner kick.
-
Indirect free kick:
-
All free kicks are not direct. The ball will go to the opposing team in the event of a violation.
-
There is no direct kick at goal at the start of play or when play is resumed after a goal
-
The defending players move 3 meters away from the free kick. A foul close to the penalty area will be committed from a distance of 3 meters from it.
-
If the ball goes out of bounds, it is returned to play with an indirect kick from the place where the ball came out. Corner kick - from the corner of the field.
-
There are no offside situations.
-
Direct Free Kick (Penalty)
-
Penalty situations:
-
Defender enters the penalty area intentionally.
-
Goalkeeper leaving the penalty area on purpose
-
Preventing a clear goal-scoring opportunity (by running, illegal tackle) will also require a blue card (red for serious tackle) - DOGSO
-
Deliberately stopping a ball kicked into the goal with the hand by a field player.
-
With a fourth running foul in a team. The running foul count is reset only after a penalty penalty. A run that caused a DOGSO is not counted.
-
-
A penalty kick is taken forward, with an approach distance of 2 meters behind the ball.
-
All other players are behind the ball and at least 3 meters away from it.
-
In a 5-meter wide goal - the ball will be placed 8 meters from the goal line. A smaller goal - a distance of 6.5 meters. Illegal kick - the ball goes to the opponent. The goalkeeper must keep one foot on the line at the time of the kick. The kicker cannot touch the ball again before another player has touched it.
-
The referee:
-
A decision can be made Also with the participation of another assistant referee.
-
The referee can give an advantage to the attacker in a contact or non-walking offense.
-
Only the captain may speak to the referee.
-
The referee is the final arbiter!
Penalties and sanctions on players
A yellow card is a warning to the player and he stays on the field.
The referees of the game must use timed temporary suspensions (blue cards) in all cases traditionally considered cautionable offences.
Therefore, the options open to the referee to impose a suspension from the game are:
• A player will receive a blue card and be temporarily suspended from the game - the team is left with one less player
• A player will receive a red card and will be permanently removed from the game - the team is left with one less player
A player receiving a blue card will be suspended from the game between 2 and 5 minutes.
A blue card can be given for any of the following offenses (in addition when a reckless offense is committed):
unsportsmanlike conduct
Demonstrating opposition by word or action
Continuous violation of the game rules
Game restart delay
A foul that prevents a safe opportunity to score a goal (for which the attacker is given a penalty)
A red card is used when a player commits one of the following offenses (in addition when an excessive force offense is committed):
Serious foul play or violent behavior
Spitting on an opponent or any other person
Uses offensive, insulting or insulting language, receives a second blue or yellow card in the same game.
A player sent off with a red card is not allowed to take any further part in the game nor is he allowed to sit on the substitutes' bench.
Penalties and sanctions on a team
Starting of May 2024, a new law was introduced that aims to reduce the number of runs on the field.
1. Every non-walking foul by a player is counted as a team non-walking foul
2. With the ruling for a fourth offense, the opposing team is entitled to a direct penalty kick (penalty)
3. After the kick - the count starts again for the team against which the penalty was awarded.
4. In the group counting, there is no disqualification of penalties for personal offenses for violating the rules of the game
